Let’s take a look at what is happening around us. India has a population of 1.2 billion. China has a population of 1.5 billion. The United States continues to receive more and more immigrants which is starting to make America’s white Christian population outnumbered.
But this has only recently changed. White Christians in America have become a minority – less than 50 percent now. The world is going through a dramatic, global change. This is neither good nor bad. It’s just the fact that global changes are occurring.
Russia is a vast territory compared to the United States – Approximately 1.8 times the land size. From its western borders to the far east, it is most decidedly a Eurasian space. In regards to its culture and even language, language groups and history, it is undoubtably a European culture as it is inhabited by people of that culture. Russia needs to preserve all of this in order to remain a significant cultural centre in the world. Russia should not divide people on the basis of ethnicity, as we do in the United States. Russia should not look back to the war between France and Russia in 1812-1814, but rather look to the future for ways to build a common future and follow this common path. That is how Russia can preserve their culture and the people that are significant in this global centre of culture for relations with Asian countries and the United States.
If this does not happen, it will surely mean division into minor quasi-national associations of states that would eventually lose their significance in the global sense as independent centres.
Preserving cultures does not mean destroying. If Russia preserves its culture this will be a great advantage for human development as well since they are such a major part of the global culture.
